Stefan Blumer

President and owner of Advanced Tax Automation, Inc. has been in the software industry for over 30 years. First implementing SAP in Switzerland and the USA for a diverse client portfolio in many industries. While his core competency was in Sales and Distribution, he was owning many projects in other SAP modules such as Materials Management, Finance, and HR. In addition Stefan integrated many systems with that core SAP system, including Siebel, a custom eCommerce platform, and several homegrown back end systems. During his tenure as an SAP expert Stefan worked several years as an independent contractor owning his own consulting business.

For over 17 years Stefan was responsible for all aspects of the ONESOURCE Indirect Tax integrations, owning the vision, strategy, and delivery of the solutions. He was instrumental in the design and build of SAP Global Next, an industry challenging tax integrations framework that set new standards. Stefan managed integrations for Microsoft, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP working closely with the ERP vendors on new Tax API’s and solution enhancements. In his role he played a key role in customer acquisition, satisfaction, and support having been instrumental in the successful go-lives of small and large client implementations. 

Since inception of Advanced Tax Automation, Inc. Stefan has assisted clients in their implementations of Vertex at a major Food and Beverage company, and transitioned Sovos/Taxware clients to more modern platforms.  Some client project examples:
